Pumpkin Ridge Resort
This one-of-a-kind rental has all of the aspects for an "in-house" complete experience in the beautiful Southeastern Ohio region. It's comprised of 2 separate structures (located 50 yards apart from one another) as one rental experience* on a 95-acre nature preserve with 7 miles of hiking trails, natural grasses and habitats, fruit tree orchard, the beginnings of an apiary, and abundant wildlife. This retreat sleeps up to 8 adults and 4 children, between the two properties with 4 queen beds/rooms and 3.5 bathrooms.
The first guest structure: The Barn at Pumpkin Ridge was built with locally-sourced soft and hard-woods. It features towering oak tree postings and an original artist-created elk chandelier as centerpieces of the indoor living experience. Additionally, The Barn has two vaulted indoor wood-burning fireplaces (main level and lower level) made of local river rock, hand crafted, oak log queen-sized beds, a full-service gourmet kitchen, an outdoor bar, grilling deck, wildlife observation deck, hot tub, and primitive fire ring. We offer two queen beds with private sitting areas and 2.5 bathrooms to meet the needs of our most discerning guests.
Just a brief walk down the gravel lane, The Stable at Pumpkin Ridge has been converted into a boutique space boasting 2 queen bedrooms with full sitting areas and 1 full bathroom complete with infrared sauna. On the main level, a vintage pool table flanks the open recreational space, with many nostalgic lawn and board games abound; including darts, croquet, and more. The center of the structure boasts a comfortable seating area with a large, mounted flat screen television. Conversation tables and vintage board game tables pepper the floor plan. The Stable also features a kitchenette wet bar, indoor and outdoor congregational spaces, a digital fireplace, surround-sound music system, an outdoor bar and decks with plenty of seating, and an outdoor hot and cold spa under the darkest of skies.

It was wonderful
Two cabins, two hot tubs, plenty of comfortable sleeping quarters and privacy.
Wonderful and relaxing time with family!
We were close enough to explore local state parks and communities while still having plenty of time to spend on the property. We played many games, cooked, and sang a lot of music. Property allowed us to have plenty of space and variety of activities for everyone.

Properties were well maintained. The property and surrounding nature are quite beautiful. Only recommendation would be for the forest trails to be a little more accessible. Our group enjoyed the property and will be back next year!
Decent value for money, could be better
The first impressions were good, from clean rooms and living areas. But, a closer look revealed mouse droppings, strong stale smell from running water, uncleaned ovens and bbq grills, cigarette butts around the property. For the hefty cleaning fees and strict cleaning rules that were expected from us, we did not expect these issues when checking in. The check in process was also complicated since we didn't receive the access code to the gate, and the management did not respond until next morning
We had a wonderful stay on a beautiful, well-appointed property.
The property is expansive and able to be traversed by young and old alike. There are trails throughout the hills bordering the residence. We loved having two different houses so we could have privacy and a large gathering place. The hot tubs were wonderful and felt nice in the October weather.
It made my weekend extremely relaxed!

The property was very nice, the fact that there were 2 separate houses on the property was great. We made such great memories while we were there. The trails onsite were great, and everything completely exceeded our expectations. We will be making this our yearly property to come back every year as a new tradition.

The open space, the flexibility with the two cabins and the large acreage and on site trails. Been doing to Hocking area for awhile and this was the best yet.Jeff
It was a great place to disconnect and embrace the beauty of Vinton County.
We enjoyed the setting , the accommodations, and the beautiful night sky. Only focus item is to get heat better in stable. The 2nd floor was a sauna even when the thermostat was at 61.
Cozy stay after adrenaline rush caused by Mother Nature.
We appreciated the Plan B when our first cabin did not have running water. The Heartland Ridge just needs to have a more visible house number sign for when inclement weather or darkness may cause it NOT to be seen. The "official" house numbers are all lumped together on one driveway which caused some confusion of the actual cabin location. Thanks!

The property was beautiful, the amenities were perfect for a relaxing weekend. The stable we hosted game night and it was a blast.

A cozy and accommodating stay.
Nice, peaceful setting with many accommodations. Really enjoyed the hot tub, yard games and pool table. Both houses were beautifully decorated and had a great, cozy feel to them. This was a great rental property for a low key family gathering.
Fantastic Spring Break Getaway
We enjoyed a wonderful 3-night stay as part of a spring break getaway. My family of four enjoyed having the "big house" and "little house" to go back and forth between. Both houses were beautiful and had every amenity we needed. Jobie was incredibly communicative, and maintenance was very quick to help us troubleshoot getting our hot tub up to temperature given it had been cleaned prior to our refill and needed a bit of time to get back up to temp.

Celebrated 50th birthday with 4 couples. Hiked the property, enjoyed the hot tubs and fire pit. Did some site seeing. Great relaxing long weekend.

Pumpkin Ridge Resort provided our family the best accommodations we have ever had in this area. The cabins are beautiful, well kept and provide for loads of entertainment for all ages. The grounds are peaceful with lots of trails for hiking. It truly gives you the opportunity to get away from it all for a little while.

Cancellation Policy
- If cancelled more than 30 days in advance of your stay there is a 10% cancellation fee.
- If cancelled less than 30 days, but more than 7 days in advance from your stay there is a 50% cancellation fee.
- If cancelled less than 7 days from your stay there is no refund of any kind.
